Get your system up and running in under 5 minutes. This guide will walk you through the essential steps from unboxing to your first concrete curing monitoring session.

Step 1: Charge Your Devices

Before first use, charge your devices with a USB-C cable.

Step 2: Install the Mobile App

Download the PrecastX app on your mobile device:

After installation:

1. Open the app and tap Sign In
2. Enter your team email and password (provided by your administrator)
3. Grant Bluetooth permissions when prompted

Step 3: Power On Devices

Press and hold the power button for 1 second to power on both PX-Sens and PX-Gateway.

Step 4: Connect Thermocouple Probes

1. Locate the thermocouple ports on the PX-Sens (labeled CH1, CH2, CH3)
2. Insert the probe connectors firmly until they click
3. The app will show temperature readings within seconds

Step 5: Start a Session

1. In the app, tap Start New Session
2. Pair your device with the PX-Sens via Bluetooth
3. Select duration of the session
4. Capture a photo of the sensor placement
5. Enter optional details:
   • Select Project & Product
   • Select Formwork
   • Concrete class (e.g., C30/37)
   • Slump value
   • Probe placement notes
6. Tap Start Recording

The sensor will now continuously record temperature data and transmit it to the cloud via the gateway.

Step 6: Monitor Your Data

In the Mobile App

• View real-time temperature graphs on the Live Data screen
• Swipe between channels to see individual probe readings
• Receive alerts if temperatures go outside target ranges

In the Web Dashboard

• Access historical data and trends at app.precastx.com
• Generate PDF reports for quality documentation
• Compare multiple sessions side-by-side
